Legible

How Legible works

Read your website, correct your business record, and check the evidence.

Start with a website audit

Start with your website address. Legible reads public pages and checks their content, metadata and structured data. Each report reflects the last completed audit.

What this audit measures

These checks describe your website. They do not reproduce what Google or an AI assistant knows or says about you.

Your four steps

Move through these steps in order. Available actions depend on your website, your saved answers and your connections.

  1. Diagnosis

Read the findings and evidence from your website. Start with the first problem.

  2. Fix

Review the proposed change, answer any missing question, then check the result on your website.

  3. Goal and plan

Choose one business goal and review the work for the next 90 days.

  4. Studio

Prepare your brand story and content from the facts you have confirmed.

What the field count means

“Found on your website” means there is page evidence. “Confirmed by you” means you saved an answer; it does not prove your website changed. A missing fact still needs an answer or page evidence.

The checklist counts facts found on your pages and answers you have confirmed. Each field labels where its evidence comes from. It is not a search ranking or an AI visibility score.

Saved, published and verified are different

Check the live page

Confirming an answer saves it in Legible. Preparing your record does not prove that your website has changed.

How you apply a change depends on your website platform and its connection. Follow the available publishing or manual instructions, then check the live page. Only live-page evidence confirms a change on your public website.

Reports and search performance

Open Reports for your latest audit. Run a new audit after changing your website.

Where Google Search Console is configured, connect your verified property from your site workspace to view search performance. This connection reads data; it cannot change your account or request indexing.

When will search engines and AI show a change?

Each service has its own timing

A verified website change does not guarantee indexing, a higher ranking or an AI mention.

To request a Google refresh, open Search Console, inspect the page URL, and choose Request indexing.

The wiki explains product terms, including platform-specific publishing tools. Available actions depend on your website and connection.
